Zomato's Healthy Subscriptions Bring AI-Powered Meal Planning to India
Zomato has launched a new feature called Healthy Subscriptions in three major Indian cities. The service lets users plan meals in advance, offering curated dishes with high nutritional value. Subscribers can now choose from lunch or dinner options for three, five, or 15 days at a time.
The subscription menu includes dishes that meet strict health criteria. Each meal carries a 'High' Healthy Score, which is calculated using AI. This score considers protein density, fibre content, ingredient quality, and carb balance.
Many of these dishes are not available on regular restaurant menus. The service also avoids repetitive eating by offering varied choices. Users can edit their meal plans, reschedule deliveries, update addresses, or cancel before the subscription locks in. Currently, Healthy Subscriptions is live in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Zomato plans to expand the feature to other Indian cities soon. The goal is to make planned, nutritious eating more convenient for users.
The new feature gives subscribers greater control over their meal plans. With flexible options and AI-backed nutritional insights, it aims to simplify healthy eating. The service will roll out to more cities in the coming months.
