Neuwied's Free Course Teaches Climate-Friendly Cooking on October 16
Neuwied District Adult Education Center will host a course on sustainable cooking. The session, titled 'Climate-Friendly Cooking', is scheduled for October 16 at the ASL in Linkenbach. It begins at 5 p.m. and aims to help participants adopt eco-friendly habits in the kitchen. The course will focus on practical ways to reduce environmental impact through cooking. Topics include using regional and seasonal ingredients, cutting back on meat and fish, and choosing energy-efficient preparation methods. Participants will also learn short cooking techniques to save time and energy.
Leading the session are Janine Sieben, the district’s climate protection manager, and Brigitte Lange, a nutrition and home economics specialist. Lange will guide attendees through simple, tasty recipes made with natural ingredients. The course is free, but a €7 fee for ingredients will be collected by the instructor. The event offers hands-on advice for sustainable kitchen practices. Attendees will leave with new recipes and methods to apply at home. The course is open to anyone interested in climate-conscious cooking.
