Vladivostok's two new promenades to open weeks ahead of schedule

Two major promenades in Vladivostok are set to open ahead of schedule. The projects on Kirov Street and Ivanovskaya Street will both be completed in the second half of August. Residents chose the Ivanovskaya Street development through a public vote in 2025. Work on the Ivanovskaya Street promenade is progressing well. A new, technologically advanced sidewalk now runs along its entire length, ensuring easy access to the parking area. Near the Gaidamak bus stop, a vacant lot is being turned into a recreational space, with staircases built and paving stones laid. By the end of the year, a bus shelter for the Pacific Fleet Hospital stop and a pedestrian crossing will also be added.

On Kirov Street, the central section has been graded, with soil compacted and drainage installed. Paving is currently underway. Staircases are in place, and bases for the final surface layer have been prepared. Soon, paving stones and rubberised flooring will be laid. The finished promenade will include a continuous running track, outdoor workout zones, ping-pong tables, and children’s playgrounds. Both promenades will open in late August, earlier than planned. The Ivanovskaya Street project maintains parking access while upgrading the sidewalk. The Kirov Street promenade will offer new sports and leisure facilities for the public.
