Astana's Creative Aimaq Fair Unites Tradition and Digital Innovation in Kazakhstan

The first republican Creative Aimaq fair opened at the Qazaq Creative Hub in Astana. Akmola Region was the first to present its initiatives at the event. Visitors saw a wide range of creative works from local artisans and innovators. Akmola Region displayed its diverse creative economy, with over a thousand entities working in different fields. On the fair’s first day, participants sold goods worth nearly 5 million tenge.

Victoria Valukyan showcased her 'Modern Kazakhstan' fashion collection, drawing inspiration from national symbols. Aliya’s felt artisan brand, SYRMA, demonstrated its global reach. Samat Kadralilin exhibited his craftsmanship, having made over 2,000 traditional dombras.

The fair also highlighted digital innovation. The travel platform BeBack.kz introduced an AI-powered assistant for exploring Kazakhstan. The esports platform Kurex enabled players and organisers to create and host their own tournaments. Koshy Karama Bektas displayed intricate artworks carved from animal bone. The fair brought together traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Akmola Region’s participation set a strong example for other areas. The event provided a platform for creators to connect with buyers and showcase their work.
