Aeroplan's Pay Yourself Back adds Amazon, Whole Foods and more redemption options

The Pay Yourself Back programme for Aeroplan cardholders has expanded its redemption options. New categories now include department stores, Amazon.com, Whole Foods Market, and utilities. These changes come alongside existing benefits for travel, gas stations, and home improvement stores. From 1 October 2025, cardholders can redeem points for purchases at Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market. These redemptions offer a value of 0.8 cents per point, matching the rate for dining, grocery stores, department stores, and utilities. For example, 1,000 points will provide an $8 statement credit in these categories.

Earlier this year, the programme added gas stations and home improvement stores as redemption options. Here, 12,500 points yield a $100 statement credit, also at 0.8 cents per point. Travel purchases and annual fees remain the most valuable, with 8,000 points worth $100 at a rate of 1.25 cents per point.

All current Pay Yourself Back categories will remain available until 31 December 2025. The expanded Pay Yourself Back programme gives cardholders more ways to use their points. Redemption rates vary by category, with travel and fees offering the highest value. The new options for Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market begin in October 2025.
