Tay Ninh province is boosting its rural economy through the One Commune-One Product (OCOP) programme. Local specialties like Ba Den custard apples, Tráng Bàng dew-dried rice paper, and Bàu Đồn durians are gaining higher market value. The initiative has already certified 417 products, with one achieving five-star status. The OCOP programme has certified 417 products in Tay Ninh, including one five-star, 87 four-star, and 329 three-star items. Tan Nhien ultra-thin rice paper stands out as the only five-star product, earning national recognition and strong export potential. Meanwhile, the 7 Sang organic mulberry farm offers four three-star OCOP products, focusing on processed mulberry goods to enhance their market appeal.
To expand reach, the province has set up 13 sites for displaying, promoting, and trading OCOP goods. These efforts help cooperatives, small businesses, and household producers access wider markets. Baden Farm is also playing a role by merging high-tech agriculture with experiential tourism, giving visitors a closer look at local produce.
The province is linking agriculture with tourism to highlight its cultural identity through OCOP specialties. It also plans to apply more science and technology in processing, branding, and market expansion under the programme. By 2030, Tay Ninh aims to develop a greener, more circular rural economy. The focus will remain on high-quality, distinctive, and eco-friendly OCOP products. The programme continues to drive growth, creating opportunities for local producers and strengthening the province’s economic future.
