Hathras to Become a Hi-Tech City Under UP's Ambitious Urban Transformation Plan

The Uttar Pradesh government is transforming Hathras district into a hi-tech city. A new urban centre is being developed as part of Phase II of the Yamuna Expressway project under Master Plan 2041. The initiative aims to boost industrial growth and create jobs in the region. Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is leading the ambitious greenfield project. It will cover nearly 4,000 hectares across more than 50 villages in Hathras and Sasni tehsils. The urban centre will feature four key zones: an Industrial Zone, Residential Areas, a Commercial and Logistics Hub, and a Green Belt.

The project is strategically placed near the Noida International Airport in Jewar. It also benefits from strong connectivity via major highways. RV Engineering Consultants Limited has been appointed as the planning consultant, using GIS-based mapping for precise development.

Over 10,000 registered MSME units in Hathras will gain access to world-class infrastructure. The centre is designed to become a major industrial manufacturing hub, supporting local businesses and attracting new investment. The Hathras Urban Centre is expected to generate lakhs of direct and indirect jobs for local youth. It will serve as a satellite town with advanced facilities for industry and residents. The project aligns with the state’s long-term vision for economic and urban development.
