Vostochny Port Foundation transforms Vladivostok with June community projects

The Vostochny Port Foundation for Social and Environmental Initiatives carried out numerous community projects in June. These ranged from cultural events to educational support and environmental efforts across Vladivostok. On June 1, two entertainment zones opened in Vladivostok city squares, offering performances and workshops for residents. The foundation also celebrated Medical Workers’ Day by donating six new medical storage cabinets to the Eastern Hospital of the Far Eastern Regional Medical Center.

Renovations in Zhelelev Square were completed, with new benches, trash bins, and lighting installed. The playground equipment, including swings and slides, was also refurbished. As part of the Eco-Marathon, a large community cleanup took place at Prikumsk Beach in the lead-up to Ecologist’s Day.

On Children’s Day, the foundation visited the Center for Family Placement, where each child received a gift. Additionally, nearly 30 high-achieving students from grades 8 to 11 were awarded the Viktor Vasyanovich Scholarship at the 13th annual ceremony. The foundation’s June activities included cultural, medical, and environmental contributions. These efforts supported local communities, improved public spaces, and recognised academic and professional achievements.
