Destination Canada is organising unique outdoor watch parties for the 2026 World Cup. These events will take place in scenic locations across the country. Fans will enjoy matches while surrounded by Canada’s natural beauty. On 19 June 2026, Toronto will host a sold-out kayaking watch party for Germany vs Ivory Coast. A few hundred fans will paddle to Toronto Islands and watch the game on large LED screens from their kayaks along the Olympic Island shoreline. Tickets for the event disappeared within a day.
The following weekend, Vancouver fans will hike Grouse Mountain to watch Panama vs England. Halifax will also hold an outdoor screening on 23 June for Scotland vs Brazil at the Halifax waterfront. Ottawa will host another natural watch party on the same day at Lansdowne Park for Canada vs Switzerland.
Suzanne Reeves of Destination Canada is coordinating these events. The aim is to highlight Canada’s landscapes and the hospitality of its residents during the tournament. These watch parties offer fans a chance to combine their love of football with outdoor adventure. The events will take place in some of Canada’s most picturesque settings. Destination Canada hopes to attract global attention to the country’s natural charm and welcoming spirit.
