Workers have begun preparing a stretch between buildings 3 and 19 on Ivanovskaya Street in Vladivostok for landscaping, installing fencing and asking local residents to move their cars from the future construction site, the city administration reported. Starting April 1, the contractor plans to begin the first phase of work—removing the old pavement and conducting earthworks.
According to company representatives, the current priority is to cordon off the area and ensure safety so that heavy machinery can access the site without obstruction. Car owners are being asked to relocate their vehicles in advance from the central driveway through the neighborhood, where crews will soon begin dismantling the base for the new alley.
By the end of August, the former tram line site is set to be transformed into pedestrian walkways, equipped with lighting poles, and planted with lawns. Later phases of the project will include children's and sports areas, benches, trash bins, and other urban infrastructure elements.
The progress of the construction is being overseen by specialists from the municipal enterprise Green Vladivostok. City officials note that the Ivanovskaya Street alley upgrade is part of the federal Comfortable Urban Environment program under the Infrastructure for Life national project, which will also see improvements this year to the landscape and park zone of the Far Eastern Federal University and the alley on Kirova Street, buildings 5–9.
