Vietnam's Trẹm River Eco-Tourism Blends Nature and Community in the Mekong Delta

The Trẹm River - Mười Ngọt eco-tourism area in Cà Mau has become a leading example of sustainable travel in southern Việt Nam. Since its development in late 2015, the site has blended natural beauty with community involvement, offering visitors an authentic taste of Mekong Delta life. Rare wildlife, cultural traditions, and green tourism practices now define this peaceful destination.

Located about 50km from Cà Mau City, the Trẹm River eco-tourism area spans 110 hectares. The site focuses on conservation while welcoming tourists, balancing habitat protection with responsible visitor activities. Many species listed in Việt Nam's Red Data Book find refuge here, supported by reforestation and anti-poaching efforts.

At Mười Ngọt, travellers can take part in daily village life. They join locals in farming, fishing, and outdoor cooking, experiencing traditions firsthand. This model of tourism relies on both natural resources and the active role of residents, ensuring benefits for the community.

The area also serves as an educational hub. Visitors learn about biodiversity and environmental protection while enjoying the calm rhythms of rural life. Nearby U Minh Hạ's cajeput forests and winding waterways add to the region's ecological richness, making it a standout destination in the Mekong Delta.

The Trẹm River - Mười Ngọt eco-tourism site continues to grow as a symbol of harmony between people and nature. Its mix of conservation, cultural exchange, and sustainable tourism attracts those seeking meaningful travel experiences. The project remains a point of pride for Cà Mau, Việt Nam's southernmost province.
