Solana Records 97% Tokenized Equities Volume as SoFi, Cash App Join the Network

Solana's record-breaking week reshapes stablecoins and tokenised assets

The Solana network has seen a surge in activity this week, with major developments in stablecoins, tokenised assets, and cross-chain transactions. Several high-profile companies launched new services, while trading volumes for regulated assets hit record levels on the platform. SoFi made headlines by introducing SoFiUSD, the first stablecoin issued by a U.S. nationally chartered bank. The move marks a key milestone for Solana, as the stablecoin was natively launched on the network.

Cash App expanded its services by rolling out USDC support on Solana. This update brings stablecoin payments to millions of retail users through one of the most widely used consumer finance apps.

In the realm of tokenised securities, Streamex and Orca launched 24/7 onchain secondary liquidity. The new feature allows continuous trading of tokenised assets, catering to growing demand for regulated products.

Solana also dominated tokenised equities trading, capturing 97% of cumulative spot volume this week. The figure highlights strong interest from both institutional and retail investors in blockchain-based financial instruments.

Meanwhile, Jupiter Exchange opened the public beta of its Offerbook. The fixed-rate credit tool enables users to borrow against tokens, NFTs, and even trading cards, all within the Solana ecosystem.

Cross-chain activity saw a boost as well. Mayan bridged over one million external wallets and facilitated $2.5 billion in stablecoin transfers across Solana in just seven days.

The Solana Foundation further strengthened its role in the broader blockchain space. It joined the Open Transaction Layer as a founding partner, focusing on developing cross-chain standards for the industry. These developments signal growing adoption of Solana for both retail and institutional use cases. With expanded stablecoin access, tokenised asset trading, and cross-chain infrastructure, the network continues to attract major financial players. The latest updates also point to increasing liquidity and credit options for users.
