Vladimir Zavarzin, a talented young saxophonist from Khabarovsk, has already made a name for himself in Russia's classical music scene. At just 13, he won his first competition in Vladivostok, marking the start of a promising career. Now, as a student at the prestigious Khabarovsk College of the Arts, he continues to impress with his skill and dedication.

Zavarzin's musical journey began early. He picked up the recorder at five and switched to the saxophone a year later. His mother, Tatiana Zavarzin, a piano teacher at the same college, guided his development from the start.

By 13, he had already earned recognition, securing an award at a Vladivostok competition. His talent soon took him to bigger stages, including the All-Russian Young Talents of Russia contest and the regional New Names of Khabarovsk Krai competition. Teachers at the college note his ability to handle complex subjects like harmony with confidence.

A highlight of his career came in 2024, when he performed at the 13th International Music Festival in Khabarovsk. There, he shared the stage with Yuri Bashmet, a legendary figure in Russian music and a People's Artist of the USSR. The experience solidified Zavarzin's reputation as one of the region's most exciting young musicians.

Looking ahead, Zavarzin dreams of performing on grand international stages. For now, though, his focus remains on honing his craft at the college.

Zavarzin's achievements reflect both his talent and the strong training at Khabarovsk College of the Arts. His performances, including the 2024 festival with Yuri Bashmet, have brought attention to the region's musical scene. While his future plans remain open, his dedication to music suggests further success lies ahead.
