Police HQ's revamped canteen opens with fresh meals and community vibes

A new team is taking over the canteen at the police headquarters on Krefelder Straße 555. From November 3, the space will reopen as a welcoming spot for both officers and the public, serving fresh, locally sourced meals every weekday morning.

The revamped canteen will focus on modern, health-conscious dishes while keeping classic favourites on the menu. Breakfast options will include fresh juices and customisable oatmeal, all made to order. Most food will be prepared daily from scratch.

In January, a lunch service will launch with themed days and a fresh salad bar. Weekly specials will also be introduced, promising restaurant-quality meals. The operators want the space to feel like a community hub where people enjoy spending time together.

Starting November 3, the canteen will be open to everyone, Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Visitors can enter through the main entrance of the police headquarters on Krefelder Straße 555.

The new operators have set clear goals: fresh food, a warm atmosphere, and a place for people to connect. With locally sourced ingredients and a mix of healthy and traditional desserts, the canteen aims to become a go-to spot for both police staff and the wider public.
