Petropavl unites for Nauryz with feasts, traditions, and community spirit

Petropavl celebrated Nauryz with lively gatherings in residential courtyards, particularly on 13 Tchaikovsky Street. Families of all ages and backgrounds came together to mark the festival with traditional food, clothing, and warm exchanges.

The event saw residents prepare a dastarkhan—a traditional feast—while dressed in national costumes. They shared meals, greeted one another, and enjoyed moments of unity. Local officials, including Gauez Nurmukhambetov, akim of North Kazakhstan Region, and Serik Mukhamediev, akim of Petropavl, joined the celebrations to offer their congratulations.

Nurmukhambetov highlighted the festival's themes of renewal, kindness, and mutual respect. He wished the community good health, happiness, and prosperity. The akim also noted the ongoing Nauryz Decade, with a special emphasis on sports activities this year. As part of the festivities, heads of homeowners' associations received gift certificates for essential courtyard maintenance tools. The certificates aimed to support the upkeep of shared spaces where families had gathered.

The festival strengthened community bonds, bringing diverse groups together in celebration. Gift certificates for maintenance equipment will help improve local courtyards, ensuring better spaces for future gatherings. The event reinforced Nauryz's role in fostering unity across Petropavl.
