Oepfershausen Primary School Opens Doors for a Day of Discovery and Fun

Curiosity, Laughter, and Hands-On Fun: Open Day at Oepfershausen Primary School Offers a Lively Glimpse into Modern Learning

On Saturday, Oepfershausen Primary School opened its doors, giving visitors of all ages an engaging look at daily school life—and demonstrating just how dynamic learning can be today.

From the moment guests stepped inside, it was clear: this was no ordinary school day. In the classrooms, two short trial lessons gave visitors a firsthand experience of how teaching unfolds, with interactive activities that sparked interest across generations.

Creativity took center stage at the crafting stations. Colorful pipe cleaners were transformed into delicate flowers and intricate dragonflies, while elsewhere, vibrant blooms emerged from thread and paint. Skill was key—but so was the joy of making something new.

A true highlight, especially for younger visitors, was the school's furry guests. In the library, a reading session on "You're No Scaredy-Cat" set the stage for children to meet—and pet—real rabbits, an experience that left many with wide, delighted eyes.

The gymnasium was all about energy and movement. Games and playful activities dominated here, drawing enthusiastic crowds of kids eager to run, try, and play together. The mix of excitement and teamwork made it one of the day's most popular spots.

Beyond the hands-on fun, the school showcased modern learning tools, including the Anton app, a digital platform already helping students succeed by complementing traditional lessons with interactive support.

Principal Nicole Kirchner personally guided visitors through the building and grounds, answering questions from parents and students alike. With evident passion, she shared insights into daily school life and the institution's mission—where 106 children currently learn and grow.

A diverse selection of food and drinks rounded out the day, ensuring guests could relax and enjoy the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Oepfershausen Primary School isn't just a place for education—it's a space for discovery, comfort, and shared experiences.
