Nizhny Novgorod's Young Innovators Showcase 326 Tech Projects for City's 805th Birthday

Nizhny Novgorod will host the 'Young Creators for Our Beloved City' exhibition from March 30 to April 5. The event celebrates the city's 805th anniversary by showcasing over 326 innovative technical projects. Entry is free, and doors will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The exhibition is organised by the Nizhny Novgorod Department of Education, the Chkalov Palace of Young Pioneers, and Nizhny Novgorod Technical University. Nearly 10,000 schoolchildren took part in the initiative, including students from the 'Rovesnik' Extracurricular Center. From 1,904 district-level entries, 326 projects were selected for display.

The projects span ten themed sections, such as sports and technical models, machine tools, and devices. One standout entry comes from the robotics field: Collin Esslinger, a student from Bischöfliches Cusanus-Gymnasium in Koblenz, developed an autonomous robot. Using sensors, AI-based object recognition, and mapping, the robot can explore spaces, gather items, and transport them to a designated point. During the event, the 'Step into the Future' academic-practical conference will take place. Winners and prize recipients will be determined based on project presentations at the conference.

The exhibition highlights young talent and technical creativity in Nizhny Novgorod. Visitors can explore the projects without charge until April 5. The event also serves as a platform for recognising outstanding contributions from the next generation of innovators.
