New Lviv – Tel Aviv Exhibition Bridges Two Cities Through Photography

A new photography exhibition titled Lviv – Tel Aviv is bringing together images from two vibrant cities. The showcase features works by artists from Tel Aviv-Yafo and Lviv, offering viewers a look at everyday life in both places. The event marks part of Freiburg's celebrations for its long-standing ties with Tel Aviv-Yafo.

The exhibition is a joint effort by the Freiburg–Tel Aviv-Yafo Friendship Association and the Kommunales Kino cinema. Photographs by Valentine Kleyner from Tel Aviv-Yafo and Yuriy Kovalchyk from Lviv will be on display, capturing the contrasts and shared moments between the two cities.

The opening reception is scheduled for February 28, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Kommunales Kino in Freiburg. This event also highlights the 10th anniversary of Freiburg's sister-city partnership with Tel Aviv-Yafo, established in 2015.

Visitors can expect a visual journey through urban landscapes, street scenes, and cultural snapshots. The exhibition aims to bridge distances by showcasing how daily routines unfold in both Lviv and Tel Aviv-Yafo.

The Lviv – Tel Aviv exhibition will run at the Kommunales Kino, providing a space for cultural exchange. Through photography, it connects Freiburg's partner city with another European urban centre. The event underscores the importance of artistic collaboration in strengthening international relationships.
