Mumbai Schools Lead the Way in Student Health and Well-Being Initiatives

The FPJ Mumbai Schools Survey 2025 has highlighted how schools in the region prioritise student health and well-being. This third edition of the city's respected assessment covered institutions across Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. The findings reveal strong engagement in health initiatives, with many schools adopting structured approaches to nutrition and wellness. The survey showed that all participating schools (100%) have dedicated systems for student well-being. Over 90% of them also hold regular health sessions, often involving parents in the process. While the exact number of schools evaluated remains undisclosed, the results underscore a trend toward routine and compliance-driven health models.

Five schools stood out for their outstanding efforts in student health, nutrition, and well-being. These include Bombay Cambridge International School in both Andheri (West) and Andheri (East), Bai Avabai Petit Girls' High School in Bandra, D G Khetan International School in Malad, and Children's Academy International School in Ashok Nagar. Each institution was recognised for implementing effective programmes that support physical and mental wellness.

The survey confirms that schools in Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai place a high priority on student health. With universal adoption of well-being systems and widespread parental involvement, the findings reflect a growing commitment to holistic education. The recognised schools serve as examples of how structured health initiatives can be successfully integrated.
