L-Nutra Raises $36.5M to Expand Nutrition-Based Therapies Globally
L-Nutra, a Los Angeles-based nutrition technology company, has secured $36.5 million in its latest funding round. The investment brings the firm's Series D total to $83.5 million, with Mubadala leading the round. The company specialises in developing nutrition-based therapies to extend healthy lifespans and tackle chronic diseases.
The new funding will support L-Nutra's expansion into the Middle East and North Africa. A joint operation with Mubadala in Abu Dhabi will produce medical nutrition therapies and longevity-focused products for the region.
The company claims to have conducted 47 clinical trials and holds 137 patents in its field. Its mission centres on using nutrition as medicine, aiming to integrate its programmes into mainstream healthcare. Joseph Antoun, L-Nutra's chairman and CEO, stated that the firm is now 'on the cusp of enhancing human healthspan'.
L-Nutra's approach targets chronic disease remission and long-term health improvements. However, no independent records of its patents or clinical studies could be verified in public databases.
With the latest investment, L-Nutra plans to scale its nutrition-based therapies globally. The partnership with Mubadala marks a step toward establishing its products in new markets. The company continues to focus on scientific research, though external validation of its claims remains limited.
