Residents of Khabarovsk Krai will enjoy a long weekend from May 9 to 11. The break coincides with Victory Day celebrations across the region. Various outdoor activities and educational tours are planned for families and adventure seekers alike. On May 9, Victory Day events will take place in municipalities throughout the region. The following day, May 10, a unique excursion called ‘The Furry Soldiers of Victory’ will explore the contributions of dogs during the Great Patriotic War.
For those seeking outdoor adventure, a combined tour named *‘Rafting on the Anyuy River—Nadge Rocks—Peak 1100’* is available. The trip includes whitewater rafting, trekking, rock climbing, and a summit ascent of Peak 1100. Participants will also camp, fish, and gather around a bonfire. No prior experience is needed, and children as young as six can join. On May 11, an educational visit to the *‘Visit the Bees’* apiary tour offers a chance to learn about beekeeping. Visitors will discover how a bee colony works, sample fresh honey, and explore the world of bees. This tour is open to anyone aged six and older. That same day, a hike up Mount Sinukha is scheduled for those aged 12 and above. The 8-kilometre route is beginner-friendly and does not require special training.
The long weekend provides opportunities for both reflection and adventure. Families can choose between historical excursions, nature tours, or outdoor challenges. All activities are designed to be accessible, with options available for different age groups and experience levels.
