How Fresh Bellies Turned Organic Toddler Meals Into a $6M Success Story

Fresh Bellies crafts plant-based, organic meals for toddlers and adults, free from added sugars or artificial ingredients. The company, founded by Saskia Sorrosa, has grown rapidly and now offers its products in over 9,000 stores, including Walmart and Kroger. Its annual revenue exceeds $6 million, driven by a focus on nutrition and bold flavours.

Saskia Sorrosa launched Fresh Bellies to provide healthy, vegetable-rich meals for young children. The products are 100% organic, non-GMO, and free from preservatives, using herbs and spices inspired by Latin American cuisine. Popular toddler flavours include Mango, Strawberry, Pepperlicious, and Broc N' Roll 2.

The brand quickly expanded, hitting $1 million in sales within its first six months. Sorrosa later appeared on Shark Tank, seeking $275,000 in exchange for 5% of the company—a valuation of $5.5 million. The Sharks, however, declined to invest, citing concerns over the high valuation.

Fresh Bellies also offers adult-friendly snacks in five flavours: Classic, Berry Bliss, Tropical Twist, Citrus Burst, and Mint Chill. Like the toddler range, these are paleo-friendly, plant-based, and made without artificial additives.

Fresh Bellies continues to grow, with products stocked in major retailers and strong annual sales. The company remains focused on providing organic, flavourful meals for both children and adults. Its rapid success reflects demand for healthier, preservative-free food options.
