Gifhorn's Summer Holiday Fun Packs 66 Adventures for Kids

Gifhorn’s Summer Holiday Fun program returns this year with 66 activities for children aged six and older. Running from July 2 to August 12, the schedule focuses heavily on sports and outdoor adventures. Organisers have also included creative and culinary options to keep youngsters engaged throughout the break. The program kicks off with a packed first week. From July 6 to 10, the Kinder aus ALLER-Welten event offers a mix of cultural and recreational activities. The week wraps up on July 10 with an open-air children’s theatre performance.

Sports take centre stage, with canoeing, gliding, water skiing, and even mermaid swimming on offer. Tennis, billiards, and a dedicated children’s canoe camp at Irenensee Lake in Uetze are also part of the lineup. For those who prefer water-based fun, a holiday week at Allerwelle swimming pool is planned.

Families can look forward to excursions as well. Trips include visits to Heide Park Soltau, Pullman City Western Town, Serengeti Park, and Hannover Zoo. Creative workshops, such as a three-day pottery course and an international cooking studio, provide alternatives for children with different interests.

Registration for the most popular activities will be decided by a lottery system on June 23. The full schedule, including timings and locations, will go live online from May 27 at www.unser-ferienprogramm.de/gifhorn. The Summer Holiday Fun program runs for six weeks, ending on August 12. Children and families will have access to a wide range of activities, from adventure sports to creative workshops. Detailed information and booking options will be available online starting May 27.
