Fröbel Kindergarten Expands with 25 New Spots and Fresh-Food Kitchen

Fröbel Heinrich der Löwe Kindergarten in Braunschweig-Rautheim has opened its doors after a major expansion. The upgraded facility now offers 25 additional childcare places, easing pressure on local families. A new fresh-food kitchen and modern learning spaces were unveiled at the official opening with District Mayor Detlef Kühn, kindergarten director Julia Zimmermann, and Fröbel's managing director Norbert Herschel in attendance.

The newly expanded kindergarten has been operational since early March, welcoming children into its updated spaces. The design focuses on modern early childhood education, providing areas for self-directed learning and plenty of room for movement. Parents have already noticed the difference, particularly praising the new kitchen.

The catering upgrade replaces standard catering with a fresh-food kitchen. Meals now emphasise seasonal, regional, and organic ingredients—a change families have warmly received. Zimmermann noted that high-quality nutrition is a key priority for the kindergarten. At the opening ceremony, Kühn highlighted how the extra places directly benefit families in the area. Herschel added that the expansion reflects Fröbel's commitment to improving early education standards. The project combines increased capacity with better facilities, addressing both quantity and quality in childcare.

The expansion delivers 25 new childcare spots and a fresh-food kitchen serving healthier meals. Families gain more options, while the kindergarten strengthens its focus on nutrition and learning. The project marks a step forward for early education in Braunschweig-Rautheim.
