A series of free cooking demonstrations will take place in February 2024 at the North Regional Health and Wellness Center. Organised by Helios Kliniken, the sessions aim to teach heart-healthy meals that help reduce hypertension. Attendees must register in advance to join any of the three events.
The first session, Meal Prep 101, runs on Thursday, February 8, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Participants will learn to prepare crispy tuna patties, creamy tuna pasta, and stuffed sweet potatoes.
The second demo, Cooking for Kids, takes place on Tuesday, February 13, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Families will make veggie-filled wraps and Valentine cookies, with children under eight requiring adult supervision.
The final event, Hands-On Cooking, is scheduled for Thursday, February 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will cook Shakshuka and a guilt-free dessert. Each session provides free samples, recipe cards, and educational materials.
Helios Kliniken, which operates over 120 health centres across Germany, is hosting the demos as part of a nationwide effort. Those attending will leave with practical cooking skills and resources to support heart-healthy eating. Registration remains open for all three February sessions.
