Fort Collins' Fort Stories explores life's twists in March event

Fort Collins will host its next Fort Stories event on Sunday, March 22, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The live storytelling evening takes place at Visit Fort Collins in Old Town Square, offering a relaxed setting for sharing personal tales. This month's theme, Happy (And-Not-So-Happy) Trails, invites stories of travel, growth, and life's unexpected detours.

The event encourages real people to share their own true experiences—no scripts, no actors, just honest storytelling. Each storyteller has up to seven minutes to recount a moment tied to the theme. Since its start, 12 different individuals have taken the stage as part of past editions.

The atmosphere at 7 Old Town Square is designed to feel welcoming, blending laughter, reflection, and connection. Attendees are asked for a suggested donation of $5 to support the event. Whether recounting a journey gone wrong or a lesson learned on the road, the focus remains on authentic, unfiltered narratives.

This edition of Fort Stories continues the tradition of bringing the community together through personal tales. The March 22 gathering will highlight how travel and life's twists shape people's experiences. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with stories beginning shortly after.
