Elizabethtown Tops Zillow's 2024 List as America's Most Popular Small Town

Elizabethtown has been named Zillow's most popular small town of 2024. Known for its charming streets, local businesses, and strong community ties, the town continues to attract attention. Now, new housing developments are adding to its appeal as demand for homes grows.

The annual Elizabethtown Fair remains a highlight, drawing crowds and reinforcing the town's close-knit atmosphere. With its mix of tradition and modern living, the area is evolving while keeping its small-town feel.

Two new housing communities are under development by Ryan Homes. Bear Creek Estates, a 39-home neighbourhood, features half-acre lots, two cul-de-sacs, and open space bordering nearby properties. Of these, 25 homes have already sold, showing strong early interest.

Klein Mills, a 55-plus community, offers 209 homesites designed for older adults. Since sales began in April 2023, around 45 homes have been purchased. Both developments include modern features like kitchen islands, quartz counters, stainless steel appliances, and smart thermostats as standard. Construction for a new Ryan home typically takes six to eight months after purchase. The company's designs aim to blend convenience with quality, catering to different lifestyles. Elizabethtown's location adds to its appeal. Close to Harrisburg, York, and downtown Lancaster, it also provides easy access to Philadelphia via Amtrak. Locals enjoy walking along Market Street, lined with independent shops and restaurants, as well as nearby trails through Masonic Villages and the Northwest River Trail.

The new housing projects reflect Elizabethtown's growing popularity. With modern homes, community-focused design, and strong sales, the town is expanding while maintaining its small-town character. The developments, combined with existing attractions, continue to draw residents and visitors alike.
