EcoMobile Freiburg launches 2026 with 160 free nature education events

The EcoMobile Freiburg is kicking off its new season with a fresh programme of environmental education. Under the motto 'Experience Nature – Learn About It – Protect It', the initiative will bring interactive activities to communities across the administrative district. Over 160 free events are planned, aiming to link daily life with biodiversity and conservation.

The season starts on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in Freiburg-Tiengen, where children in holiday care will explore the forest. From there, two specially equipped vehicles will tour the region, reaching 42 different towns and cities—from the Rhine Valley to Lake Constance.

Public events will take place at key locations, including **Seepark in Freiburg on June 13**, the **Lake Constance Night Festival in Konstanz on August 8**, the **Feldberg Nature Park Market on August 9**, and the **Biosphere Festival in Hausen im Wiesental on September 6**. The programme is open to schools, clubs, and local groups, with wheelchair-accessible lifts ensuring everyone can take part. Activities are designed to engage people of all ages, blending hands-on learning with environmental awareness. The initiative's focus remains on making nature accessible while encouraging active protection of local ecosystems.

With its mobile setup and wide-ranging schedule, the EcoMobile Freiburg will bring environmental education directly to communities. The free events will run throughout 2026, offering practical ways to connect with nature. Organisers hope the programme will inspire long-term interest in biodiversity and conservation across the region.
