Aldi's New High-Protein Lineup Expands With Budget-Friendly Snacks and Dairy
Aldi has expanded its range of high-protein products with new options in stores. The budget supermarket now offers protein-rich snacks, dairy items, and plant-based alternatives. Customers can choose from flavoured yoghurts, protein powders, and even edamame for a quick nutritional boost.
Other retailers are also stocking protein-packed foods, from Greek yoghurt to beef jerky. These products aim to support muscle health, digestion, and long-lasting energy without added sugars or unnecessary ingredients.
Aldi Nord's refrigerated section now includes MILSANI High-Protein-Milchreis in four flavours: chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and natural. Each 200g serving costs 0.89€. Alongside it, the chain sells MILSANI High-Protein-Joghurt in strawberry, blueberry, raspberry-pomegranate, and peach-orange, priced at 0.79€ for 200g. These additions follow growing demand for protein-heavy snacks.
Aldi Süd has introduced GOLDÄHREN Protein Brötchen (300g), Ironmaxx 100% Milk Protein Pulver (500g vanilla, available from 27 February 2026), and ALDI SPORTS Whey Protein Balls in chocolate-caramel-brownie flavour (45g). The protein powder will launch later, while the other items are already on shelves.
Elsewhere, Friendly Farms Low Sugar Plain Greek Yogurt provides 15g of complete protein per serving and contains no added sugar. It supports muscle maintenance and helps keep people full for longer. For those preferring a drinkable option, Pillars Peach Drinkable Greek Yogurt offers 20g of protein, 3g of fibre, and probiotics for gut health.
Friendly Farms 2% Reduced Fat Ultra Filtered Milk stands out with 14g of protein per cup—nearly double the amount in regular 2% milk. It is also lactose-free. Meanwhile, Friendly Farms Low Fat Cottage Cheese delivers 12g of protein per half-cup, along with essential vitamins and minerals.
For plant-based protein, Aldi's Season's Choice Edamame in Pod provides 10g per half-cup serving. Edamame is one of the few plant sources of complete protein, packed with fibre, iron, and magnesium. Simply Nature Organic Original Beef Jerky offers 11g of animal protein per serving, aiding muscle repair and satiety.
Southern Grove Almonds and Walnuts Snack Packs focus on heart health, supplying antioxidants, omega-3s, and fibre. While lower in protein than other options, they remain a popular choice for a balanced snack.
Aldi's latest high-protein products join a wider selection of protein-focused foods in supermarkets. The range includes dairy, plant-based, and meat options, catering to different dietary needs. These items provide convenient ways to increase protein intake while supporting muscle health, digestion, and overall nutrition.
