PeakBridge's FoodSparks Fund Backs Four Trailblazing Food and Wellness Startups

PeakBridge has revealed four new seed-stage investments through its FoodSparks fund. The selected startups—GanEden, KÄÄPÄ Biotech, SOUS, and Evinature—each target key gaps in the food and wellness sector. The fund, backed by €30 million in capital, focuses on early-stage innovation across Europe.

The FoodSparks fund was established in 2021 in partnership with EIT Food. It supports pan-European startups in five core categories, with strict criteria for investment. Companies must align with PeakBridge’s mission and be based in approved regions.

GanEden specialises in plant-based ice cream, aiming to reshape the dairy-free dessert market. KÄÄPÄ Biotech supplies functional mushroom extracts to wellness brands in over 20 global markets. SOUS operates as a commerce platform, helping chefs and culinary entrepreneurs expand their revenue opportunities. Evinature focuses on gut health, offering clinically tested products. Its flagship item, CurQD, is already used by more than 40 medical centres in the US. According to managing director Yoni Glickman, each startup addresses a significant and growing need within the food industry.

The latest investments expand PeakBridge’s portfolio of early-stage food and wellness innovators. The fund’s €30 million backing will help these companies scale their solutions in plant-based dairy, functional ingredients, culinary commerce, and gut health. All four startups now move forward with support from FoodSparks’ resources and network.
